Default Warning!! Bad Contractor Lopez Brothers!

We hired Lopez Brothers to do our landscaping and stone work through home advisor, they had a 5 star rating. It was a $10,000 job they did show up and finished in about three days the problem started when they never came back to finish cleaning up our newly planted Sylvester palm. We called numerous times but were completely ignored after they got paid then some of the stonework they did is loose because they forgot to glue it down next the of the smaller planting started dying, along with one of the Pindo Palms, their 6mo guarantee was not worth the paper it was written. I contacted home advisor and they tried to communicate with the owner who did come out and look at all that was wrong and apologized and promised to make it right. The foreman came out and looked but did nothing and from this point on our phone calls were mostly ignored, and at one point was told they “didn’t care if they got removed from Home Advsor as they had plenty of other jobs/work to do”. Now at this point we have to hire another contractor to fix their work!
This company I later found out that they change their name frequently if they get bad reviews! So beware, we learned the hard way.

If you paid by credit card, see if the CC company can help. Go to seniors against crime and file a complaint, I am guessing the BBB may not be able to help if they are changing their name, but you try there also.

Sounds just like a lot of the other landscape companies trolling around TV. Be careful who you hire to fix their mess.

As a contractor you pay Home Advisor to give out your name it used to be $50. There was no background check, Insurance check Etc. If this has changed my apologies to Home Advisor. Send a registered letter to the Lopez Brothers, you can get their address off of their Insurance Binder that they gave you before starting the job. Good Luck. Thanks for the advise, I thought we were smarter than that and believed in the 5 star ratings on HomeAdvisor. We definitely feel cheated and will try contact seniors vs crime.
