I'm sure there would be someone in The Villages who would take you to the port. However, it's a very easy drive with convenient parking and shuttles to the port. It's just a half hour or so beyond the airport.

Your best deal is to rent a hotel close by that has free parking and a shuttle bus to take you to the ship. That is what we do most of the time. There are many hotels that offer this service.

We cruise at least 3x a year---usually out of Canaveral---easy drive---use Park-N-Cruise lot/shuttle service for our car. We make our reservations on their web page---they also give a --I think it's 10 per cent--discount to anyone who has been in the military. I think we showed them my husband's American Legion Membership Card for this discount. You don't pay until you get there--we have never had an issue with their service. Think it takes us around an hour and a half to get there. I think I have seen an Ad in Sunday's newspaper that advertises transportation to cruise ports but we have never used such a service.

Hour and a half is a bit understated. Three and a half is more like it.

Dude, If it takes you 3 1/2 hours to get to Port Canaveral, learn how to get on the expressway!

We cruise all the time. It's about 1 1/2 hours. Nice drive. We leave our car same place as previous poster.

You go by golf cart? You can't take a cart on the Beachline. Didn't you see the sign, "No Carts Beyond This Point"?

Maybe you got lost! We did once trying to find back roads to the Port. Found a good non toll road route if anyone wants one! Traveled from Tv to work in Pt Canaveral, hour and a half exactly!

Try this web site ESCOTbus.com. or call them at 888-501-5388 or 941-256-8762. Used this service last year for bus transportation to Port Canaveral. I believe they took over the business from Cruise Connection and I believe they are still in business. I found their customer service personnel very helpful and professional. The trip was very pleasant. It costs us $100 round-trip per person, but it was worth every dime. They deliver you right up to the cruise port door of the ship you are cruising and pick you up again when your ship returns to port. They were very reliable, and won't leave the port without you. You will, however, need to get yourself to their pick-up station, which, in the Villages is behind the McDonalds on 441 in Summerfield which is on the opposite side of 441 across from Walmart.

You are probably thinking of Port Everglades (Ft. Lauderdale)--probably about three and a half hour drive to that Port.
