Default Tile Installer

I need a good ceramic tile installer to fix a problem in my master shower. I have the tile so just need some demo and installation. Thanks!

I know just enough on this to be dangerous, so I have to ask what the problem is, a cracked tile, a leak, something else? If there is damage to the bladder (aka a leak) this is much more involved IMHO as the entire floor may need to be removed so a new bladder can be installed. If just something minor, then you may get lucky with just having the tile replaced, however whomever does this must be very careful to not damage the bladder.
I am hoping someone has a suitable tile person, my stepson does this work, but he signed a non-compete clause where he now works, and cannot do this on the side any longer.

You’re very kind to respond. I’ve posted about this issue previously but it’s been a while. We built our house in Linden and within 2 yrs the edges of the tile in the master shower began to flake off. It had been painted rather than glazed. Neither The Village’s or Nickel Tile would do anything about it so we’re on our own. I have found a tile that is almost an exact match at Roberto’s but they won’t correct anything another contractor has done. Fortunately it’s just around the edges (shampoo niche, window, bench seat, etc) and the flooring/drain is not involved. It’s a matter of removing the old edge pieces and replacing them with the new tile. Hopefully, we can find someone experienced who will tackle the job. Thanks!

AH! You need new bull nose tile installed, with this info, hopefully you will get some additional replies. Also, contact the original installer and get the exact name of the grout color so this can be matched with the existing grout. Also it appears you are working at the edges of the so this makes the work much easier (IMHO). If no one else contacts you, I have installed tile, and I can borrow the tile saw, trowels, etc., so consider me a last option.

I noticed an ad in today's paper for Doc's repairs 352-753-0056, they seem to have a good reputation and they do tile work, so they may be a good choice for the small project.

I highly recommend Chuck or Manny [352-620-4350 or 352-502-7171] the best and most reasonable I have ever seen. reliable, honest, dedicated, very reasonable. They are from Ocala so they do not charge Villages pricing. Let them know Mike Williamson sent them to you. You will not be disappointed

I just used a very competent and humble gentleman who after 20 plus years subcontracting for local flooring retailers is going out on his own installing flooring for homeowners. His name is John Evereth 352 353-9837 I was very pleased with his price, attention to detail and quality of his work.
