Default Solar Guys - Window Film Optik

Have you used Solar Guys to install Optik Window Translucent Film on West-facing windows? We are considering having that installed in order to reduce the amount of direct sunlight in the late afternoon hours.

I had Solar Guys install the Optik Window Film on my east-facing windows on my CYV 2 years ago and am very happy with the install. They definitely reduce the amount of heat coming into the home in the early morning, the install and professionalism of Solar Guys is the best. We have contracted with Solar Guys on two other occasions to install 3 solar tubes and then a solar attic fan and have had a very pleasant experience with them. They gave us the best price over similar competitors too.

We had them do all of our windows in our house about 4 years ago. We had them put a darker film on some of the windows due to the sun exposure. We are very happy and like George, the price was much better than another quote we got for the company in Home Depot.

It has cut down on the fading of our furniture in our Florida room a lot. You can still see out the windows very well, but it is harder for people to see in. That is OK with me.

Last year we had Solar Guys do our east facing windows with darker film as the sun was fading my custom drapes and lighter film on our west windows and the eyebrow window over the front door. Very happy with the install. Would have done our slider doors but our cats paw on the doors when they see cool cat stuff outside.

We had them to the entire house with the darker film and are very satisfied. As a previous poster noted, it is very difficult to see inside though looking out is no problem.
