We live in the village of Hillsboro (south of 466a) and am thinking of switching from our electric range to a gas range. Any one have any suggestions on a company to bury a propane tank, run the piping and attaching it to the new as stove. Thank you!

I would expect it is highly regulated. Required distance from neighbors. How you will fill it etc. Permits.

We used Suburban Propane for the entire process a number of years ago. They came out and looked at our property to be sure we could get the permits, talked to us about what size tank we would need, then got the permits and did the work. We love it! In addition to running a line for our stove, we ran a second line to our gas grill. No more tanks! We cook at home almost everyday, so we are using propane everyday, and have yet to use more than $75 worth in a year. Yes, in a Year! I think the person we talked to initially was Jay Miller, the office number in Wildwood is 352-748-2101. When you call you may get a corporate customer service person, but they can help you also. Good luck!

We has it done 6 months ago. We used Fireplace installers out of Ocala 352-288-0016. Jerry is part owner of T & D Propane. We put in a 250 gal tank and had the outdoor grill hooked up. The tank was about $2300 and the grill hook up was $300. Propane is fixed at $2.50 per gal. We purchased the stove ourselves and Jerry handled all the permits ($60) and inspections.

It’s no big deal, and is done quite a bit. Filling is no different than for those having buried tanks for pool heaters.
