Default Need lanai privacy

We are looking for some much need privacy on our lanai. We have one screen panel that needs some sort of privacy on it. I have checked into "Florida windows" from T&D pools and they aren't very attractive looking but could do the job. I have also seen a Muriel like screen I believe on one of the homes going to Turtle Mound golf course which looks kinda cool. I really don't want to install any the of mechanical shade due to the fact that it will be exposed to the rain and may not hold up well. If anyone has any experience with either the Muriel screens or the Florida Windows or any other method that works....do tell!

Happinow, we had a similar problem that was solved by the folks who installed our retractable garage screen - it's a coated screen that we had installed on the one side of our lanai open to our neighbor, which affords us both a bit of privacy. We can see out, but they cannot see in. If you'd like more info I'll be happy to provide same. Just PM me.

OP, on our former lanai we landscaped with large size Ligustrum and bottle Brush. Solved the problem and looked nice too.

We used a hedge of ligustrum shrubs for side privacy.
It's about six feet high and affords total privacy.
We had it planted by Terrascape Landscaping.
Our neighbors have told us that they enjoy their privacy as well.
