Default Lexus Maintenance Shops

We moved to The Villages in late September with my 2007 Lexus RX350. I am the original owner and have every bit of work and maintenance done by the original dealership.

was most suprised that the closest Lexus dealership to The Villages is 60 miles away in Orlando.I I am aware that Toyota will provide the same level of maintenanc skills for Lexus as Nalley Lexus in Atlanta. however the nearest Toyota dealer is 15 miles away in Leesburg.

My question is, does anyone have a Lexus and are maintaining it thru a local, independent mechanic whom they would highly recommend?

And thanks in advance for your advice,

Dave Lyons - Collier

I tried two Toyota dealerships but after the first oil change I started getting the list of hundreds of dollars worth of work they said I needed (but said they were much cheaper than Lexus). It was just like taking it to a local tire store. I took it back to my dealer in Tampa and needed NOTHING! We started 10 years ago at Lexus Orlando but after some unsatisfactory experiences I bought my next Lexus from Tampa Bay and never regretted it. It's worth the drive which is only 2-3 times a year and if the service requires more than a couple of hours, they will come and pick it up, leave a loaner, and bring it back. Can't beat Lexus of Tampa Bay!

We purchased our 450h from L of Tampa Bay; we have it serviced at L of Orlando. We highly recommend L of Orlando.

Another endorsement for Lexus of Orlando. I have had our RX 330 serviced there for the last 6+ years and they have been the best I have ever dealt with. Loaner car? No problem. Need them to pick up/deliver? No problem. And best of all, they'll tell you if you don't need work.

I get oil changes on my 2008 Lexus RX 350 at Phillips Toyota in Leesburg. For major milestone maintenance I take the car to Lexus of Orlando. Living in central Florida required some adjustment regarding a sense of convenience to shopping, good restaurants, car repair, etc. Original purchase of my Lexus was at Hennessy in Atlanta on Peachtree industrial. I had to remember that Atlanta businesses are supported by 4 million people. The Villages is just over 100K souls. As others have posted, the Lexus dealerships in Orlando and Tampa will work out loaner arrangements, if you can't wait on the repair. The most I've had to wait in the Lexus waiting room in Orlando is 3 hours, so far. But, all I've needed is routine maintenance. No major repairs yet at 62K miles.
