Has anybody gone to Lang Eye Care for their services.I went to Google and found their Web Page but it has been either removed or changed.
Also any info on Beacon Eye Care would be helpful. Don't get to radical with your comments just if you were satisfied or dissatisfied with their service. Last edited by shirart; 07-30-2013 at 09:43 PM. |

Beacon is a very small shop and yet the VA sends all the veterans there for their free glasses. I got 3 pairs recently, distant vision, reading and sunglasses. The two regular pair were paid by the government, they were the basic black 'Clark Kent' frames like in my avatar, they took 3 weeks to receive. The sunglasses I paid for, I wanted wrap around style for playing softball, they were on my dime and cost me $95 which I thought was a good price.
After I had waited a week, I stopped in Sam's Club and ordered a pair of distant vision glasses that I liked the style, cost $150 and I had them 7 days later. So I ordered them a week after Beacon was ordered, and received them almost a week before Beacon had my two pair ready. The sunglasses from Beacon took 4 weeks and when they arrived they were not tinted, clear glass in a wrap around frame. I asked, who would want that, they look like goggles. The girl said no problem, I can tint them here, and told me to come back in two hours. When I picked them up, I wore them about 3 days and were way too dark. I couldn't read the gauges on my car's dash and were no use in softball. I took them back and they said they can lighten them, after coming back two hours later they were the right shade. Everytime I went to Beacon, I had to wait 45 minutes or longer. They usually only have 2 or 3 people on the floor and always several people waiting to be seen. If it wasn't for the VA, I wouldn't go there. My wife has been a patient of Lang Eye Group on CR 101 behind CVS for about two years. She has dry eye and also cataracts. So far she likes going there and has had no problems. She goes there about every 2 or 3 months. They have an eye glass shop but the prices are the highest I've ever seen. I priced regular vision glasses and they wanted $450. |

Hubby and I go to Lang eye and like them very much. The level of care is good and the technicians that help with glasses are very friendly and helpful. I see Dr Lang and he did not push his vitamins on me at all. They do run a video in the waiting area that has to do with contact lenses and the eyes, that plays over and over and over. Enough already! However, that does not have an impact on me using this office as my eye care provider.

After living here for over 6 years and have a 98 yr young living with us we see doctors............... Lange Eye is over expensive and does not offer competitive rates. Beacon Eye Care in Leesburg is fabulous and accepts most medicare insurance plans. Fast, efficient, and caring staff and the optical department is under the same roof. Hope this helps!
