Default Village Watchdogs

Great guys. Used them for about a year with no problems. They have a very nice program and tips on how to make your home ready for an extended absence.

Default home watch

We have Ed & Mary Edwards @ Safe Homewatch. Very SATISFIED with them. My grass was browning out & last week Ed ADDED 1 day of irrigation (due to drought watering schedule I was only watering 1 day)! PLUS they send U WEEKLY e mails on your property. Call them & interview them, there are GREAT & I know THEY BOTH WILL IMPRESS YOU!

Default Safe Home Watch

We use Ed and Mary at Safe Home Watch and are very pleased with them. We had a couple problems while we were away last year and they looked after everything for us.
We recommend them to everyone that asks.

You can call them as follows (at least these are the last numbers I have for them)
:
Roger: 352-430-3618
or
Bill: 352-633-3220

They will not pressure you into anything and are nice guys as well as being super efficient.

I have found them to be very professional and dependable. They have provided us with a list of "things to do before you leave The Villages".

The above number is the cell phone number I have for Roger. I usually e-mail him with questions or notification of our departure or arrival. When we depart, they check the house in case we forgot to unplug anything, etc. When we arrive they turn up the fridge temperature and if necessary, let our home cleaners in.

I've know Dee for years. She is a "straight shooter" for sure, and has many happy clients. She can offer good recommendations for dependable people in the trades.

Thank you to everyone who responded to my question and to those who sent the private messages. Your input was very helpful. There's nothing better than getting feedback from others with experience.
Again, Thank You

Just an FYI for those of you using a home watch service...

I have very good friends that operate a home watch service here in TV. I won't mention the name here, as they have all of the clients they feel they can handle effeciently. They have, however, been told by several clients recently that they (the clients) are receiving a deduction on their homeowners insurance with proof of a home watch contract. If you aren't receiving a discount, you might want to check it out.

Default Insurance deductions

I believe that is true. We operate The VILLAGE SITTER (The Village Sitter - Welcome) and have several of our clients ask us for our insurance and bonding paperwork to turn into their insurance companies for a deduction. Check with your insurance companies to see if it applies to your insurance as well.
