Default GE Large Appliance Repair

My 4-1/2 year old GE dryer died last night. (Great timing with guests arriving
next week )

Any suggestions for a good repair person?
Thanks....

I use Frederick Appliances for my appliance repair (oven). 750-1782. I have no complaints.

Make sure you cut out the coupon in the Daily sun classifieds it gives you a free service call or at least $20 off.

Default Oh no

Oh No, Islandgal, me too.

In my case, it's the dishwasher. Ran it last night and it won't drain. Guests arriving Friday!

Glad you got your problem resolved and are happy. Thanks for the followup. Thanks zcaveman, my wonderful neighbor, for the recommendation. Thanks 784Caroline for the tip on coupon tip.

I'll post how it goes. With luck, I'll be able to add another nod for Fredricks.

Default Dryer repair...

So, did people have good experiences with Frederick Repair? Where are they located?
Any other recommendations? My dryer is only 4 years old...and I think a sensor must be out ---as it keeps shutting off. I had someone come out and clean the vents--but, that did NOT do the trick..

Thanks for any referrals..

Default Dryer repairs

I had a very good experience with Rick Beck. I had the same problem, the sensors overheated and turned off the heat to the dryer. Rick had it up and running in no time and was very reasonable. Rick's number is 352-245-3598. Good luck.

DO NOT I repeat DO NOT use Fredericks appliance repair. We called them out on Easter Sunday because our refrigerator was making an awful noise. Told us it was the motherboard and fan motor. Was suppose to come on Monday but called and said they couldn't make it. Came on Tuesday and replaced both to the cost of $518.00!!! A few hours later the refrigerator started acting the same way. Called and complained and was told someone would be here Thursday. received a call saying he was sick and no one could get out until tomorrow. My husband called the owner and angry words were exchanged. Owner is suppose to show up tomorrow. Have stopped payment on my check. After complaining to the Better Business bureau I was advised that this company holds an F rating!!! Next time I will be smarter and check that first. I am sick and tired of these 2nd rate companies. I will need to hire another contractor and I am sure I am in for a legal battle for stopping payment. BUT I will NOT pay for a service I didn't receive!!!

As an update, the owner from Fredericks came out on Friday to check the refrigerator. He agreed that something had to be done and send eric out to do another repair and replace the fan motor again. Our problem wasn't with the reapirman it was with the way the office responded to us and treated us. It made us think we were being ripped off when in reality, it was poor customer service in the office. We relayed this information to our repairman and suggested that they change their office help. We would have never reacted the way we did if we were not treated so terribly.
