Question Driveways by Jay (Hometown Services)

I had Jay do 3 projects at our house over the last several years. Now I have managed to stain the driveway and I am trying to reach Jay to repair or restain the driveway. I have tried 3 phone numbers over the last 4 days with no call back, so does anyone have a recent phone number for Jay or hometown services (that they actually answer), or a recommendation for another company that also uses Xylene based concrete stains.
I will be contacting Amy Newsom and Priscella Daniels for estimates.
Thank you, VillageTinker

Although I don’t have any information on Jay, I would highly recommend Amy Newsom. She stained and sealed our driveway about 3 1/2 years ago and did an excellent job. I hired her earlier this summer to power wash and reseal the driveway and after power washing it she told me it didn’t need resealing for a couple more years. She didn’t want to charge me for unnecessary work and didn’t charge me for the power wash. She is definitely a trustworthy contractor who takes pride in her work.

I am not sure if they use Xylene products or not but we have found Edison ConCreations to be very responsive in our contacts to have our driveway redone. They were timely in following up to my initial contact, prompt in showing up to evaluate as they said they would, and were readily accessible in a follow up call I had to ask additional questions. We have not yet had work done but from the reviews I read, their work is excellent. Their number is 352-406-8775.

Do you know anyone who does concrete work before they do the stamping/painting?

Finally got a return call today, turns out Ed was on vacation and apparently Jay does not do phones, anyway, I will be getting 3 estimates on the driveway, and thank you for all the people that provided references on other threads, so far 2 estimates, one at $10k, another one at $3.5k for 1160 square feet of driveway.

What are they doing for $10,000? That’s like NY union wages with an army of workers.

I just had them re-stain my Lanai and patio floors. Jay did a great job! I still have a couple of years of life left on my driveway but will call Jay to re-do that as well. I hope Jay comes in at a competitive price since he did the original job.

Let us know who you go with.

I need some concrete work as well. Looking for someone who can fix chips on some of the edges of my driveway.
