Default Countertops

Anyone have any comments on quartz, recycled glass, or granite countertops? Positives, negatives, and recommendations for companies to deal with?

Express Tops did our original installation, granite, and we are very pleased. I just completed an addition to the nook, and had them provide the matching granite for these cabinets, very pleased with this also.
We love the granite, normal washing and maintenance, and sealing 2-3 times per year.

Last year we replaced our countertops in our northern home with Quartz. Quartz is the only way to go! It's better than granite or corian countertops which we have currently and past homes. There was little difference in cost. Quartz gives it that wow look and you don't have to seal.

Sorry I can't give you a company recommendation as we never have replaced any countertops in TV.

Thanks for replies. I liked the look of quartz I saw, and liked no sealing and hardness. Maybe I'll get a company recommendation.

We got our new granite countertops through Ultimate Granite (they also have quartz) on Rolling Acres Road. Installation was by Classic Rock Granite in Leesburg. The granite is great and the installation was terrific.

The countertop material is personal preference since quality quartz and quality granite (Brazil) have great appeal and require little maintenance. In the end, we liked the idea that each slab of granite is mined from the mountain and is unique. Good luck!

Many many referrals on here for Quartz counter top and Duncan Stone in Tavaras has had many positive reviews here. When I move down in June I will be looking for Quartz counter tops and will give Duncan Stone a call for a price. If you search granite or quartz counter top on this forum you will get many thoughts on companies. Good luck!! Let me know who you go with!!

Quartz is the best. It has a great appearance and no maintenance. I highly recommend Duncan Stone to install it. They are the best contractor I have ever dealt with. The original quote and install date never changed from our first meeting. There was no up front charge either.

We just had Duncan Stone install quartz counter tops and we love them. The contractor was fantastic did what they said they would and it looks beautiful. We had a home inspector our yesterday and commented that they did a fantastic job on our counter tops.

I have had my quartz countertops for 7 years. There is zero maintenance. You can chop, dice and cut on them. Dough rolls out beautifully. Highly recommend quartz.
