We are considering changing from Verizon Wireless to Sprint for our mobile phone service. Should we? Any problems with Sprint?

First question, why are you considering switching?

I wouldn't do it CoffeeBean! My experience doing the same thing years back resulted in my paying the toll to get out of the contract with Sprint and it was over $600 to do so for 3 or 4 lines. Lesson Learned. It was from miserable service and I usually let grudges go towards companies that improve but just a personal belief that I have is Sprint is about as stable as Jello. They may have improved but not enough to change from Verizon IMHO.
Verizon can be aggravating sometimes but I don't think you can beat the service. That 55+ plan they offer with Unlimited Data is dirt cheap. My Vote = DON"T DO IT! ![]() |

I am an ex lifelong Verizon customer and am now a TMOBILE customer. I switched about 4 years ago. I went with tmobile and their over 55 plan. I was paying well over 100 a month for the two of us back then. I now pay 60 month for unlimited everything. That being said, Verizon coverage is unquestionably the best. Tmobile has been great but there are some little "outside of area' holes. I see Verizon has a senior plan for maybe 80 a month? I am thinking about going back to Verizon. Best coverage of any. Nothing worse than no coverage.

We can trade in our current iPhones for upgraded iPhones for free. The offer is for an 18 month lease. We have been Verizon customers for years but this offer from Sprint is hard to refuse.

No. I would look for another provider that uses the Verizon cell network. Verizon has the absolute best network. If you have Xfinity internet, Xfinity Mobile is a great deal.

Upgraded phones with worse service is a losing proposition. Look at this:
55+ Senior Phone Plans 2 lines with unlimited data for $80.00. |

Reminds me of Woody Allen’s favorite restaurant. The food is terrible but the portions are huge.

I changed from Verizon's normal plan which was costing me about $60/mo for $55+ with military discount. The issue was going over my data limited it jumped $15. I now have their pre-paid plan which is $40 with 3g of data and unlimited text. They test your usage every month to see if you qualify to stay on this plan and I have. You cannot beat their reliability or coverage.
