I would like my cabinets re-finished or painted also, they look very 80's, that honey oak look. Did you find someone to do a good job???
Thanks,
Maxine

Default Cabinet Refinishing/ Painting

Had all of our kitchen cabinets (TV oak) refinished in wood tone & had all new doors put on by Precision Cabinets. He also did a built in computer desk in our laundry room. Took some time & MONEY, but they look good. Call Joe Smart at 753-8988. Rec'd a referral from neighbor after I was already committed to Precision & had bathroom cabinets painted white & doors replaced (thermofoil) by Doors to Drawers in Ocala. White is the cheaper option to do, and contact Mark Charles at 352-342-8510. I believe he can also do wood tones. Hope this info helps....I certainly like the way everything looks compared to The Villages standard oak!

Rather than give you a quick answer, the subject of repainting and refacing has been discussed on here many times over the past two years. Go to the buttons at the top of this page and click on 'Search', and type in 'paint kitchen cabinets'. You will see at least 20 existing threads with a lot of detailed information and photos.

In our case, we disliked the 'natural maple' veneer of our cabinets so we had them refaced in white by Remington Kitchens of Leesburg. I believe you'll see photos of our kitchen in one of those older threads. Also, you see there are two established paint companies that can do a professional job on kitchen cabinets.
