Default Best Touchless Car Wash

Where is the best touch less full service car wash locally?

I am heading back to the northeast tomorrow and thought I would get my new (3 week old) Hyundai Genesis washed before I leave TV or on the way back.

Hi Larry, way off topic (can't help you with your question), but how do you like your Genesis so far? Nice car! I'll probably consider one when I'm due for a new one.

We've used the touchless side of the car wash at Sam's Club on 441/27 several times. Two sides to their building - right side is touchless, left side isn't.

It's not truly "full service", though - nobody to do the interior, etc. for you. But it's priced right - $6 for the works! I believe you have to be a Sam's member to use it but I might be wrong.

I use Sam's Club, too. We came down here with new Rav4 and I was reluctant to use the side with the "brushes" (for lack of better word). Living here in Pennecamp, with the construction dirt, I was not getting a good wash with the brushless. I finally took a chance with the brushes and was very happy. There were no scratches or other marks. I have been using the brush side for many months now and vehicle still looks new.

We've used Sam's car wash too, and it does a decent job. The side that touches your car left swirls on my black car. A few water spots with the touchless, but probably due to driving through the dryer too fast. At $6, it's a bargain.

So, Larry, how do you like your Genesis? We're getting ours--a 4.6-- next week after a Labor Day visit to TV. Right now, we're closing on our Coinnecticut house on Wednesday afternoon, likely with no power. This is starting out to be a not so great week.

But I am looking forward to driving that Genesis from Connecticut to TV in early October. I'd certainly like to get your reaction to your first 3 weeks.

BobKat1 and Another65,

I love, love , love my 2012 4.6 Genesis in Titanium Grey with Saddle Interior. The ride is great, as it handles road imperfections really well. I love the smart cruise control. Perhaps the most solid car I have had. I have put 1700 miles on the car in 3 weeks going to Orlando airport, Tropicana Field, U of FL-Gainsville. I average about 27 mph on the highway. I really enjoy the lexicon system. Only issue is that the GPS seems to have some issues with Morse Blvd in TV and suggest longer routes than necessary. Purchased car at Fitzgerald in Clearwater .

Tomorrow I will be driving to North Carolina, then to Virginia Beach, then Frederick, MD, then Manhattan, then home to Avon, CT.

Any suggestions for route north from TV.

Another65...FYI...We just got our power back in Avon...Where is CT are you from?

Larry

It's not just your GPS. We use OnStar and have been misled on Morse too while we were looking for a garage sale! We left Hadley on Odell and was going to the garage sale off Odell on the west side side of Buena Vista. Onstar had us take a right leaving Hadley, a left at Bonita, a left at Buena Vista then a right on Odell. Why it didn't just take us all the way on Odell I don't know! In a way I guess you can say OnStar gave us a bit of a brushless brushing off... and it wasn't even a car wash! Here's a map showing the way OnStar took us:

We're from Danbury and we are still without power. Optimistically it will be restored sometime today.

I've only driven north once and went 301 to I-10 to I-295 to 95.

Apparently BigEast landed and roosted. Hope his girlfriend enjoys it too.

Atlantis car wash on 441 is the best! Prices range from $6 to $22 and more for a detail job. We go for the one that does hand drying and vacuuming and they do a fantastic job every nook and cranny is dried wiped down and vacuumed. When they're done just let them know if you see something that needs attention so far we never had had to. Well worth the extra $$.

I use Sam's club car wash. Started with the touchless but found that the brush side actually does a better job . My car dealer does a free detailed wash anytime I am by their dealership

Not concerned about the car washes with brushes primarily because the culprits up north are the result of the winter conditions and combination of salt/dirt cities lay down to melt snow and show up in car washes.
