I'm buying a new home in the villages and am looking for and all in one home service company that is reliable. Lawn mowing, fertilization, pest control, and termite bond.

Dean does it all. They will never skip out, and continue to charge without providing services.

Good advice Never pay any company upfront. They might show once, and disappear with you money.

Over 15 years we have 8 lawn guys disappear, two tried to bill when one sold to the other, at two different houses. Lawn and pest is your biggest unreliable service in TV. Especially once summer hits

The only company that we have had zero issues since 2010 is Deans

I agree with Deans, however, I believe they sold (or transferred) the lawn cutting service, I tried them around 2 years ago and they were cutting once every 2 weeks YEAR ROUND, so my lawn looked horrible most of the summer and fall, now using Chads. Chads has an Alacarte program for all of their other services, so they may be a single source but I am currently using them only for lawn mowing.

I had a terrible crew with Dean's and dumped them after 5 months of making weekly calls. Massey is even worse. I ended up doing it myself as I couldn't find a reliable company to take care of everything.

It’s the tech, that makes or breaks your service. We have had the same female inside tech and male outside tech since 2010 with Deans. If either leaves and replacement doesn’t work out I will be shopping. Not many can say they have had excellent experiences for 15 years.

Dont’ worry about finding one service provider.
List what you want and find the best provider for that service in your area.

Agree. We had the same pest control guy with Massey for 5 years and he is great.

We used Massey for a year for irrigation, they sent 5 different guys over that period doing it 5 different ways and that was the end of that. Now use a neighbor.

Depends where you live................but Fertigator will give you the best lawn.

(They no longer mow in the Northern sections)

Not true that Dean's does it all. Dean's will not trim shrubs, do irrigation maintenance, or provide a termite bond for more than one year at a time. And, now they don't cut grass? Also, they require you to provide a credit card number on file that they can charge monthly. Massey is better. They will do everything except trimming shrubs, and they will provide a 10 year termite contract. Compare the two companies before deciding which one to hire.

Can you share Chad’s contact information?

Drive around the neighborhoods and some of the worst looking lawns have deans and Massey signs indicating they were just treated. I fired a crew that we used for only 2 months because they didn’t perform and started doing it myself. My neighbors had others do their maintenance and they fired them too. Also remember you pay somebody to cut your lawn year round when I don’t cut for 4or 5 months during the winter, starting November and I just started cutting again a couple weeks ago

If you want good service for a reasonable or even lower price, you will have to manage at least 6 different services directly. Don't forget irrigation, palm tree pods, and a hand weeding. At least one of them at one time or another will skip a service, quit, or simply disappear. It is what I dislike most about having 2 properties. Good Luck!

Agree, and if you get a good Tech, let them and their management know.

I had Dean's for 3 years while we were part time residents. Very reliable and were here every week with the grass. The pest control service we received was good and very responsive. My biggest issue was with their fertilizing and weed control program. My brand new lawn looked like hell after one year and never improved with multiple calls. The tech they sent out was great but he said he is limited on what and how much they can apply. When we moved here full time 6 months ago I took over the mowing and fertilizing and my lawn looks much better. I've kept Dean's for the pest control as we've had no problems with that service.
