Default Apple Store in The Villages

We need an Apple store in or near The Villages. And we deserve one. We're working on every method we know to convince Apple to come here and now we need the help of the membership.

We're told that personal appeals, by mail, can be effective. So we're not only asking you to write, we're making it as easy as we can. Attached it a suggested letter to Apple. If you want to add anything to it, or even compose your own version, that's completely up to you. The attachment can be opened with any word processor, even with the version of TextEdit that is on every Mac. Pages on the iPad works just fine. If you want to use our version, just fill in your name and particulars, print it and mail it to Apple.

We think 600 letters might be noticed by Apple.

APPLE RETAIL STORE NEEDED…

I live in The Villages Fl, 32162. The closest Apple Store is an hour away in Orlando or Altamonte Springs FL.

My community just gained metropolitan status, it is the largest retirement community in the world, with about 110,000 residents.

These are all adults, with an education level far above average for a city this size. Each has completed a career successfully enough to enjoy a bountiful retirement. They have ample funds for discretionary spending. And they spend it!

We have an Apple/ Mac club with nearly 700 members … most own not one but multiple Apple products! Not to mention their children and grandchildren who visit year round.

We need an Apple Store. We have everything else, the big boxes, Sams, Lowes etc., even a Best Buy or three, but no Apple Store.

Show us the love, we love you!!!!!

Sincerely,

Good luck with it. The greater Raleigh area has 1.2M folks and we only have 2 Apple stores. The smallest market I'm aware of with an Apple store is Des Moines with @ 450,000. An hour away isn't too bad. I drive 45 minutes to get to my preferred store. It's wonderful that you have such a great local SIG.

Think about it. Two major college towns Gainesville and Tallahassee do not have an Apple Store. Don't see it happening here in the villages. 600 letters will not do it. Kinda of nice to go to store in Orlando. I have even used the one in Tampa.

If those colleges have decent bookstores, you can pretty much bet Apple products are sold there. Bought my first iPad at a college bookstore because I got a discount for working there.

Not an Apple store. I bought one at Navy Exchange. By the way they both have decent book stores.

Very seldom do you find a free standing Apple Store. They are in large malls. Something else we will not see here in the villages.

While that would be nice I also doubt it will happen. My husband and I actually enjoy the occasional trip to Mall of Millennia we make it a day trip and have a nice lunch or dinner out. We haven't had any real problems just mostly questions as we are fairly new to Mac's. I have used their online support which has been awesome! Love Apple!
