Cannot say I remember this. Does look like a vaudeville routine that pops up in many shows and some movies.

Steve Martin in Dead Men Don't wear Plaid went berzerk to "cleaning woman". I Love Lucy had an episode with the trigger being Martha.

I was reared in central New York and well remember this Abbott/Costello routine set in a jail with Costello menaced by a very tall and scary guy.

I use the "slowly he turned and step by step"whenever I hear an expression that drives me wild.

Abbott/Costello sid Cesar/Imogene Cocca Jackie Gleason, et al originals and very funny people unlike the sick humor of today.

I can't view your clip at this moment but I remember the routine being done by Lou Costello when he was in jail, when he said "Buffalo".

It's Niagara Falls that sets the bum character off in the Abbot and Costello skit.

I remember the routine but not the one shown in the video. The one I recall was in a portal tunnel under the Falls! The scene looked something like you'll see in this video:

I used to love their movies too; movies like "Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein", "Abbott and Costello Meet The Mummy" and several more! Lou Costello was taken from us way too soon. He died in 1959 at the age of 52.

Joe:

You will find "Buck Privates" and "Hold That Ghost" , (full length movie), on youtube as I watch them both a couple of weeks ago.
