OK it's not in The Villages, but close enough! Just wanted to put in a little review. Went for the first time last night and was pleasantly surprised! The best BBQ ribs I've had since I've moved here, and the price is lovely. Full rack for $12.99. It's funky and pedestrian with down-home cooking. Good beer on tap. If you love BBQ you've got to leave the bubble and head down 301 and give it a try. Didn't see any posts here for it so wanted to give them a thumbs up! As to other posts I see, I have to say: Havana-not anymore, Bonifay-yes!, Luiginos-I'll wait before I give it a try, City Fire-oh yeah!, Cane Garden-my sympathies to the families-love Cane!, Giovannis-awesome Italian food!

The two reviews from the Villages Gourmet club were pretty good also. I am going to have to give this place a try. Thanks for the post.

Anyone been to Woody's and Oakwood? How about Sonny's? How do they all compare? I thought Oakwood was good but not great as some have reported. I would go again, but would not put it on my favorites list. Someone who has been to all of them rank them 1 2 3.

1 - Woodys, 2 - Texas Roadhouse (Orlando), 3 - Sonnys (Oakwood doesn't even make my top 100 in the country!--took visiting family there last year and was horribly disgusted and embarrassed!)

I agree with the comment on Woody's! It is the best ribs I have had since coming to The Villages (been here since 2009).

...my opinion, Oakwood is good, Sonny's, eh, they're kind of like the McDonalds of BBQ,...never been to Woody's,..have to try that...

I rate them - 1- Sonny's 2-Oakwood 3- Woody's

Sonny's is cart accessible and has a great lunch special for $5.99. We like the sliced brisket sandwich, the pulled pork sandwich, the 1/2 chicken lunch and the 3 rib lunch. We have never had a bad meal.

I consider Woody's a fast food place. It is off of the highway and is a stopping place on your way south or north. I have eaten there a few times and was not impressed.

Locally:

1-Woody's
2-Oakwood
3-Sonny's

I've enjoyed BBQ all over the U.S. (love Carolina style BBQ, KC style BBQ, and Memphis style BBQ) but my all time favorite:

Shorty's in Miami. Been in the same location since 1951:
Shortys BBQ: Miami Barbecue Caterer, Barbeque Catering, Bar-B-Q (http://www.shortys.com/kendall_pinecrest.php)

...Maybe that is why the "WOODY'S" BBQ in Sebastian,Fl. is SLAM-FULL
........EVERY night. ......DO like the Woody's in Sebastian...
Every time we go Fishin' down there ..Woody's is the place all us CRUSTY old SALTS and our Fishin' Chicks (spouses) have our dinner.....
...of course their "off-the-list" drink specials (for locals) save us a $$Bundle$$.

.........One of my sisters lives down there...AND ...she has a Great Boat..
..........(Sure makes the lodging and Boat fees.... REAL Affordable) ...
..........Have lived in The Villages over 3 years
............................NEVER knew a "Woody's" was here.
....By the way.... Where IN Wildwood are they located?????

Woody's in Wildwood is located on 301 next to the Interstate.
