Small areas of mildew/mold have begun to appear on the shower caulking. Does anyone have a suggested remedy?

Thanks.

If you can find it, Comet Spray Gel Mildew Stain Remover works better than anything else we've tried, including Simple Green, Clorox, and Dishwasher gel. We haven't seen this product lately but we keep looking. Comet makes other similar products but the "Spray Gel" seems to be the best for the job.

Do a search here on "Mold Armour." That seems to work well. Only available at Publix.

I have a spray bottle filled with 50% water and 50% clorox bleach. Spray it on those black spots, let sit for a little while and rinse thoroughly. Works great for me and is certainly economical. Be sure to label your spray bottle so you know the contents.

Our contractor said, Fresh water mixed with pure white vinigar?

Of course I forgot the ratio!

I bought Mold Armor at Publix and it does the trick. You need mask and gloves cause it does smell. The mold just disappears no scurbbing.

Does it stain the grout? Looks like a wonderful product.

The contractor said no Tile sealant for one year?

We never had that Floor Tile?

Try Ka-Boom!!!! I've had great results with Ka-Boom. It really takes soap scum off of tiles etc, with very little elbow grease. Tile spray by Tilex, really gets yellow out of caulking. Just dont use any powder on caulking, because it will remove some caulking:a040:

Very well said!!!!! Any kind of powder and scrubbing on caulking will remove it. I use Ka-Boom also and works very well. Tilex takes the yellow out also when it shows up. Every year, I bring flood light into shower area, and check for any peeling of caulking etc. I remove it, and re-caulk. You will be surprised what you see, when you use flood light. Nothing like a clean shower area.
