Is there a certain distance from neighbors home that you need to adhere to when putting up a flag pole? Does ARC designate where pole needs to be placed?

You should check with your deed restriction documents. Or you could call Community Standards if you don't see anything specified in your docs.

I would err on the side of civility and neighborliness, regardless. If CS says "no closer than 10 feet from the property line," maybe give it 15 feet, instead of 10 feet and 1 inch. You'll also want to check the rules about the distance from the street, as there needs to be a buffer.

Their may some stipulations with ARC you can’t be denied location, proximity to street. If you are doing the installation call No Cuts for underground utility locations of power, water, sewer, gas, CATV and telephone cables it’s totally FREE.

There is also a height limit on flag poles.

Which varies. My deed restriction is 22 feet high for a flag pole.

They should ban flag poles and wind chimes entirely.

Nothing worst then a whipping flag or obnoxious wind chime.

I can think of a few things that are worse.

Especially wind chimes. It is totally inconsiderate for anyone to hang up a wind chime anywhere.

Flag poles are protected by Florida law. Wind chimes, not so much.

Flagpoles are protected by Florida law only with respect to the American flag and military flags.

Wind chimes should be banned everywhere.

As I recall, we had to submit our planned flagpole location for approval. Covenant restrictions such as distance from property line can also be limited by other restrictions such as easements. Our installer submitted the planned placement.

Wind chimes are nothing but intermittent noise. Since all the neighbors around can hear it, these homes are far from sound proof, very inconsiderate behavior.

I've seen everything from pride, BLM, Maga, sports teams, Ukraine, confederate flags and more.

Yet a tiny cross is banned. Amazing.

Of course, a tiny cross on a flag on a flagpole is allowed while a BLM sign on a post in the ground would be banned. Details matter.

How do you feel about, noisy golf carts, smoking , barking dogs, loud parties, lawn mowers at 0700, renters, really bad music at the square, bad drivers.

Wind chimes and flags, could be on the low end of your list, if you find any of the above annoying :D

I find sound of chemo pumps, ventilators, and bad outcomes, should be banned from anyone’s life

To me, wind chimes are worse than all of the things in your first sentence because they produce noise 24/7 and you cannot get away from the noise if it is near your house.

On most serenity gardens, you will find wind chimes, not cheap junk you speak of, but well tuned chimes that start around $100. They are placed where those who need solitude to make decisions. Kind of white noise

They are low pitch, that will make single sound, due to the heavy tubes, they will barely move with a gentle breeze. That why they are considered soothing. Many cancer research centers the garden will usually have such a chime. Even a brisk breeze sound is usually heard only by those sitting near.

Our windows were next to them, couldn’t hear them inside. Can’t comment on chimes in a dollar store, ours was $350. Garden was frequented by those who just lost a loved one, and by many of us who just had a bad outcome to come to terms with

Have never seen a chime go 24/7, unless it was in a store with a full blown fan.
