Where can we properly dispose of those little, nickel-sized lithium batteries? When I google this question I'm told to NOT throw them in the household trash.

Thanks

If you are referring to watch or hear aid batteries, they can be tossed. If you are referring to something you put in a power tool or electronic device, I would take them to Lowes or Home Depot as the previous poster indicated.

Best Buy will receive batteries (as well as electronic devices) for proper disposal

According to FloridaPep.gov, hearing aid batteries are recyclable.

I toss my used batteries into a plastic cup I keep in the garage. When it's full, I take them to a recycling center (Like Lowe's or Home Depot)...

Yes, that’s correct! But a while back I was told to take them to Home Depot, but when the cashier said she would get rid of them for me she took them & threw them in a trash can under the register! Don’t know if she was trying to be a wise A$$ or what, but the right thing I should of done would of told the manager. Oh well!

My understanding is that you're talking about those CR 2032 or similar coin sized lithium batteries and not hearing aid batteries or battery packs for electric drills....is that right?

If so I have the same question. I got a pile of maybe a couple dozen. It's not much in the grand scheme of things but I'd rather the lithium be recycled vs. leeching into the environment.

Did you find a solution? Or maybe just throw them in the trash and don't think about it?

Yes the CR 2032 batteries. As suggested, accumulating a bunch & taking them to Lowes.
