Need someone who traps or uses other effective, legal methods to remove gophers. Help, presently have 5 large holes, adding at least one new every few days.

Have you tried moth flakes (not moth balls), used these at a previous home (back up north) and it was effective. The rodents can and will remove moth balls, the flakes they cannot, so they tend to move out.

By gopher do you mean moles?

If so tamp down an active run (tunnel) place this trap on the run. You will have the mole next morning. Victor(R) Out O'Sight Mole Trap (https://www.victorpest.com/victor-out-o-sight-mole-trap-0631)

I used this guy. He caught several, sold me some traps and taught me how to use them.

This how I do it:
β€’ GOPHERS DIY:
o Probe to find main horizontal tunnel. Usually off to one side of the mound.
o Remove 12 x 12 sod and dig down to main tunnel
o clear tunnel with long handle spoon
o rub dirt on hands
o set trap
o place about 8 inches into both sides of in tunnel
o shove spike ( eve troth spike) at an angle to tunnel and leaving some slack in the 1 foot chain,
o Do Not cover tunnel. Do not block light or cover trap with sand. Leave tunnel opens open. Gophers do not like light in their tunnel system and will come into the trap to close the tunnel.
o Leave opening 12x12 open and check chains to see if a gopher in the trap has tried to drag the trap and pulled the chain tight.
o Place dead gopher into the tunnel and close up. (They will leave an area with a dead gopher.)
o IF YOU CATCH A GOPHER CREATING A SAND PILE: Immediately place a trap in the tunnel used to expel the sand. Leave it open. The gopher will return to close the opening and trigger the trap.

Make a hole in the top of their run (sticking your finger in works), roll a couple of sticks of juicy fruit gum into a ball and drop it into the hole and cover up the hole. They can’t resist the gum and will eat it and be unable to digest it, ultimately killing them.

The gum suggestion worked for our gopher problem a few months ago.

Used moth balls in Massachusetts and Virginia to keep critters away, was maybe 50% effective. Neighbors complained about the smell. Moth balls are a pesticide, can harm other animals and are illegal for this use in FL.
Found on Amazon, "Mighty Mint, Rodent and Repellent", natural and safe. Both my neighbors and my pest control company told me nothing will work, just live with them, they'll move on eventually. Mighty Mint worked like a charm after a couple of applications. Critters hate the smell of mint. Just follow the directions on the container.

Not moles, they are Pocket Gophers.

FYI, It's a $10,000.00 fine to put out mothballs. $10,000.00!!!

I used watermelon flavored bubble gum. It worked. You don't even have to remove the paper.

Living in a golfing community, I had to read the title several times before I realized it said "Removing gophers" instead of "Removing Golfers"

To the point, I don't know what to do except for possibly live traps. In the country, we used barn cats to keep the premises free of the pesks.

If I was a ball less moth I would want the fine to be much larger!

Sandy: Carl I want you to kill all the gophers on the golf course

Carl Spackler: Correct me if I'm wrong Sandy, but if I kill all the golfers they'll lock me up and throw away the key.

Sandy: Not golfers, you great fool. Gophers. The *little* *brown*, *furry* *rodents*.

Carl Spackler: We can do that. We don't even need a reason.
