We used them (out of Ocala) for three bedroom closets and were very satisfied. We had ideas about what we wanted and their design was what we were looking for. The installers were on time and fast. They are not the cheapest, but we are pleased with the result. We had previously used them in Illinois and liked their product. Only one criticism — after installation we wanted to buy a few additional shelves, and our designer has not returned our phone calls.

Consider one thing, remove the existing shelving and get closet painted before closet’s installed. You will be much happier, and the closet will look much better.

I couldn’t find a vendor that would come in one day and remove and mud and another day to install. If you want the walls freshly painted you have to coordinate removing existing closets, mud and paint yourself.

There were a few that claimed they would, until they came up with a scheduled install date, and then looked at me like I was crazy.

I had the same experience, they want a full day at a single job.

You could paint around the installed closet

They did our master closets and we were pleased with the results. Do remove old shelving, patch, and paint before they come though.

extremely expensive using the same material you can buy at home depot.

I used them when I lived in Orlando and again when we moved to The Villages. I think I spent around $20,000,00. I was happy at the installation on both occasions. BUT ! When I needed 2 small doors replaced , I was quoted $450. I felt like this quote was to avoid warranty or the small job.. The employees treated me rudely when I questioned the price and size of the doors. We finally came to a price I was willing to pay. Then came the wait and I had to go to the Orlando area to pick them up and install them myself.
Lowes would have saved me hundreds on this job.

I personally will not use Closets By Design for anything again.

I interviewed 5 companies to help put together a plan for our garage since we have no basement. I chose Closets By Design because we liked working with Cheryl who was flexible and addressed all our concerns. We found a number of the others wanted to do essentially what they wanted to do or maybe worked best for them. We are very happy with the final design and look forward to the install on 3/1/22.

I used Closets by Design out of Orlando 2 1/2 years ago and am still very pleased. I selected the middle quality option with drawers and shelving.

We used them a few years ago for our bedroom closets. Then we used then again recently to add a large stand alone cabinet in the kitchen for extra canned good storage. We were very happy both times and the price was reasonable in my opinion.

Tammy, the designer is talented and can design what you want in the space available. Also when the kitchen cabinet was installed the installers noticed something on one small piece of the cabinet that I couldn't even see and insisted on ordering a new piece. It came in about a week later and they came and replaced the piece which they thought was not up to their standards.

Had Home Depot plan and install my master closet. Removed wire racks and patched before Oscar came and painted all of the inside. 1 visit from gentleman who measured and helped me make a plan that would meet my needs. Another group came out later and installed. All together took couple of months. I used the guest room closet in the mean time.
I have 11shelves, 2 cabinets, 10 drawers, 1 long hanging and 2 shirt hanging rods. I then had a chandelier installed.
Since I sold my previous house furnished I had no bedroom furniture. Because of this closet I only had to buy end tables and headboard. This left me plenty of room for a reading chaise. As a result my bedroom is not crowded with furniture .
The closet not counting paint and chandelier cost $5,000. I couldn't be happier.

Shortly after I bought my home in The Villages in late 2019, I used Custom Home Closet on 301 for a master bedroom custom closet. Their designer took all my requirements and came back with a perfect set up. The two installers were terrific as well. I thought that what I was charged was reasonable, having had a custom closet done previously in Connecticut. I then used Custom Home Closet for bookshelves in a large guest room. Again, a perfect job that fit all the books that had been piled in cartons in my garage. I highly recommend this company.
