I am having trouble opening up the tube.. I pull the tab and it only tears a inch away. I can’t get the rest opened. Also having trouble with the biscuits too. I tried opening the ends with a can opener but that was a disaster . Any ideas?

Tear the seat here tab (the red piece) as much as possible. Then bang the middle of the package against the edge of your counter.

I wonder if you are not pulling the entire thickness of the paper off, maybe just a very thin top layer? Because when you pull the red part it should pull off around the entire package. I just opened one of those this morning and had no trouble with it. Maybe try to use the edge of a knife and see if you can pry off a thicker strip of paper? (Once you get that top layer of paper off you can hit the tube on the edge of the counter to pop it open.)

If you read the package the red highlight says “START HERE” and next to that are picture instructions

Once the paper is off, push the edge of a spoon in one of the seams...

No, it's not the red thing. Lift up on the little silver tab and peal it around the tube. I've had the same problem when I first started using those things. Don't feel bad. The instructions are not clear. :)

Has several people said, either bang The edge on the counter or use a large tablespoon and push against the line in the can tube to push it open. Also sometimes I have to use a sharp knife to peel away the tab area to be able to grab a piece of it to pull it up and off the can. You may have better luck using an off brand instead of Pillsbury also

Run over it with your golf cart at a fast pace and then back up on it. It should open nicely for then.

I’ve had that trouble prior, I just pulled off what I could where they advise and then cut a slit with a knife. Once it pops it’s easier to get it started from that slit.

Enjoy! They are certainly making you work for your roll this time!

I would be hesitant to bang anything on the edge of the counter, especially if it is a laminate counter. You could chip the counter edge. Use the edge of a concrete sidewalk instead.

I peel the label off, and then I whack it really hard on the corner of the counter. The container should burst open enough to enable you to get to the contents. Good luck!

This reminded me of an old Hardee's commercial that showed some young guys struggling to open a can of biscuits. They just decided to go to Hardee's for breakfast instead. I've had issues after opening a can because the dough wasn't perforated properly and was hard to tear apart.

We all have had a lot of fun with this, but I'm betting most of us have had an issue opening one of these things on one or more occasions. Delima, you are not alone. Just keep trying to get a hold on the tag. When I have trouble trying to grab it (the tag on the tube, you jokesters), I find needle nose pliers help. But I have found a better way for biscuits. Make my own with the help of Bisquick pancake and baking mix. Mix, milk, 8 to 10 minutes in the oven and great, "homemade" biscuits. You can make formed or drop (my preference) style. Cold mornings nothing beats homemade biscuits and sausage gravy.
Give homemade a try and once you see how easy it is you will only resort to the tube stuff in a pinch.
Good luck and thanks for the fun.

Now it's time to whip up some of your own semi-homemade cinnamon rolls. With help from a mix, like Bisquick, making the dough is pretty quick and simple. Then add to the dough things like raisins, craisins, walnuts, etc. Or put the additional ingredients on top if you prefer. Store bought frosting when they come out of the oven. Make them whatever size you want.
You will be the new super hero "Cinnamon Roll Woman".

Absolutely. Cliff Claven already explained this in an unaired episode of Cheers.

The velocity at the point of impact creates enough friction to immediately cook the cinnamon buns to perfect inner and outer temperature as they explode outward from their cardboard shell. If you have precision aim, then a portion of the bullet will nick the frosting container, liquify it, and send it flying over each bun to coat it.

Yep, just hit the middle of the tube firm (but not overdo it) on the counter top edge like mom and gram-ma always did..... never pulled any string, tape, thread.... it "pops" open in the middle, and very easy to just "undo" the whole tube then... even the metal bottoms come off ! :):)
