I am considering a Lexus for my next vehicle, but closest dealer is Orlando. Is that correct ? And how are current Lexus owners getting their vehicle serviced ? Seems like a long way to go for an oil change and routine maintenance.

I think Wesley Chapel is the newest location and easy to get to, right off I-75.

I've used 4 of the Lexus dealers for service. I bought a Lexus from 2 of them. I was at Wesley Chapel yesterday for Warranty recall. I occasionally use Toyota in Leesburg for oil changes.

We go to Wesley Chapel for our Lexus service and also make a trip to Costo.

From Wildwood - According to Google it’s 56 minutes via I75 to Wesley Chapel Lexus and it’s 47 minutes via turnpike to Lexus of Orlando. If Google is correct take your pick. I know Wesley Chapel Lexus advertises they are closest to The Villages but now I wonder if that is really true.

Do you really think you are going to get a better oil change at a Lexus dealer?

We go to Wesley Chapel and, like a poster up thread, make a Costco run. We’re still under warranty. I wouldn’t go that far for an oil change.

They have a lovely waiting room and espresso bar. Service? We’ve never had a problem since car is pretty new, but the Service Manager is unresponsive (doesn’t return calls) and they seem to have no respect for your time when waiting. They spend a lot of time chatting amongst themselves.

We didn’t buy our vehicle there. Just go because of the Costco proximity and it’s a very easy trip.

I've bought ore leased a lot of new cars, just about one of everything and the only time I ever went back to the dealership was for a warranty repair or recall. Everything else i would have taken care of by local mechanics. Living down here now I would not buy a Lexus or Mercedes because of the distance for warranty work.

Please explain. I had a friend who had a new Lexus and often complained about having to spend a day at Wesley Chapel to get an oil change. So, they would have come to his house, 60 miles away, picked up his car and provided a loaner, all for free, just to get an oil change? That means someone has to drive 240 miles (4 one way trips) to provide the service. How much do they charge for an oil change? I find it difficult to believe.

There is new dealer in Wesley Chapel. Right off I-75. I strongly prefer them over Orlando dealer, who in my opinion, was much less willing to negotiate. We bought our last one 2 years ago in Tampa before WesleyChapel opened...next trade will definitely be at Wesley Chapel. Service ours at Wesley Chapel...very nice!!
About the same distance without Orlando traffic!!

It is important for resale of higher end cars if the factory service records are documented and posted to the service manual. Indicates all service is performed correctly and updates and recalls are performed.

We have had a lexus for several years, even before moving to Florida. We recently took it to Lexus of Orlando for recall of airbags. I must say it was a delightful day. They gave me a loaner car and I went to IKEA and mall of Melania. During this time they called me because they gave the car a full maintenance check and found a bubble on side of one tires. Having already talked about new tires, we decided to buy from the dealer. They told us to drive the loaner home, back to the Villages, they needed to order the tires. This was on a Monday and their valet brought our car to our home on Wednesday morning. Service was excellent, very courteous and we were very pleased with price and everyone we dealt with. Our car had been washed when it came home.
We do not get oil changed there. Love Lexus

Perhaps consider a Toyota Avalon Hybrid, which received Consumer Reports #1 rating for large cars. I know several people who have switched from a Lexus to an Avalon and are very pleased, saying it is just as luxurious, a lot cheaper, and gets an average of 42 mpg, which is sort of like driving a golf cart.

I'm in the market for a new car. I've had two Lexus vehicles in the past and enjoyed them. I'm just not interested in driving 50 miles to a dealership to have it serviced properly. Plenty of options in Leesburg over by the airport on 'the 441 auto mile'.

After the first two free visits with a new Lexus at a Lexus dealership, I go to Phillips Toyota in Leesburg for ALL service visits. Have been doing that for eight years. This is sixth Lexus. Phillips has been great (see Rhonda). They keep a maintenance record of your vehicle and know what needs to be done, when it needs to be done, and at a lower price then you would get from any Lexus dealership around.

I have had Lexus for years. They will come to your house, drop off a loaner and take your car. Even for routine service. Wesley Chapel has been great.

I could always afford a high end car, but never felt they were worth the money. I buy a low end car, change the oil every 5,000 miles, and sell it at about 60,000 miles. That's about it. Never take it back to the dealer except for a warranty issue. I think that most of the recommended maintenance items for cars are not necessary. Also, I don't agree that maintaining detailed service records from a dealer is going to increase resale value for any car.

Well, if youre not firm on a Lexus, look at Lincolns. Gorgeous cars and they pick up your car when it needs servicing and give you a loaner. Cant get better service than that and has many other conveniences

We have a Mercedes and Gainesville dealer drives here, gives us a new car for a loaner, takes ours to Gainesville for service and returns it to us. And I didn’t even buy the car there. And the cost of their service is SIGNIFICANTLY less then I was paying in Northern Virginia and I had to take it to the dealer there. So guess where I am buying my next one.

If you buy a NEW car or a CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED car at Lexus of Wesley Chapel you get FREE oil changes and tire rotation for LIFE. You schedule it, they come to The Villages and get your car, leave you a loaner and then do the reverse when your car is finished. No matter what you have done there, they always offer to wash your car before you leave. I recently purchased windshield wipers there, had them put them on for me AND they washed the car!!!!

You can also choose to take the car in yourself and they will give you a loaner to go shopping or such. You can also choose to sit in the very lovely waiting room and watch one of the 4 oversized televisions, have a barista drink, a breakfast item, a bakery item, a soda or ALL of it FREE while you wait! Wesley Chapel is BEYOND WONDERFUL! I purchased a 5 year old, certified pre-owned, RX 350 from them and I receive ALL of the services I have told you about! AND the deal I got on car itself was incredible. If I ever am in the market for another car it WILL be purchased there!

If you are looking for a pre-owned be sure to ask for Charles Calise. He will take good care of you!

I've worked with many Lexus dealers over the years and while most have been really good, none have matched the quality of service that we've found from Wesley Chapel. They service The Villages like they service within their normal 20-mile radius. Even for an oil change they told us they'd come get our car, provide us with a loaner and return our car the same day. I'm super high on WC.

I purchased my Lexus at Winter Park dealer 6 yrs ago. After initial free oil changes at the dealer, all subsequent standard maintenance was at the Leesburg Toyota dealer. Toyota can handle standard Lexus maintenance but not warranty issues. Warranty issues are only performed at Lexus dealerships.

I have an older RX and I bring it to Phillips Toyota in Leesburg. Most of the parts are identical to Toyotas.

As far as the closest dealer. As the crow flies, Lexus of Orlando is 45 miles from my house, Lexus of Winter Park is 46 miles and Lexus of Wesley Chapel is 56 miles. In actual driving miles, Orlando is 54, Winter park 63 and Wesley Chapel 55.

Wesley Chapel maybe easiest to get to and may be closer depending on where you live in The Villages. I didn't look for the drive times, but they're easy enough to find on google.

BMW from Ocala provides excellent service. They pickup, provide a loaner and return your car cleaned inside and out. Great service we are planning on buying a new BMW next year.

I had a recall item (cracked dash) that came up on my car. The service rep I had been using for several years at Lexus in Orlando took pictures and said as soon as the part came in he would schedule me in. I checked back frequently and was told it was on backorder. After 6 months had gone by with the same response, I asked to speak with a manager and was told the recall date had passed by and I would now have to pay for it. The dash was $1200. The dealership refused to cover the cost even though I had contacted them well within the recall period. They also informed me that they had fired my service rep and so it was now my word against theirs. I took my car to Wesley Chapel. They contacted Lexus headquarters and were able to cover most of the cost. I still had to pay a little, but at least they tried their best. Orlando never did this and I’ll never go back.

I take my car to Sumter Tire for minor maintenance. They do a great job. Sometimes I take it to Phillips Toyota and they are also very honest and reasonable. I also have a Toyota Avalon. It’s an amazing car with as many bells and whistles as the Lexus ES for considerably less. Phillips Toyota doesn’t have the luxury food court that Wesley offers and they don’t have loaner cars, but I’m retired... I can bring a book or play on my phone. I’d buy from them or Wesley without hesitation. They don’t pressure you and both are very easy to work with.

Schedule it at Orlando. Their waiting area is extremely nice and comfortable. They are very fast. Also, if you walk from there to the nearby Chick-fil-a, by the time you walk, eat, walk back...everything is done. And, if gives some exercise and the time passes quickly.

Tampa will pick your car up for most services, and leave you a loaner. Tampa is an easier drive I think. There is also a dealer in Wesley Chapel which is the closest. Think they will probably do the same pickup. They don’t always offer. You have to “ask”.

We use Lexus of Wesley Chapel. In the past we have used Lexus of Orlando, but got tired of the 2 lane turnpike and tolls. I 75 to Wesley Chapel is 3 lanes and toll free - much better drive. We also go to Costco (at either Lexus) for groceries and fuel. Gas is $.50 cents cheaper than found in the Villages. And.. there is a Premium Outlet mall across from Costco at Wesley Chapel.

I just help a friend buy a RX350 2021 and saved here close to 6,000.00 between the trade , price of new car and no dealer fee.
If you have a trade in give them the VIN and they will give you a ball park of the trade in
