I made something like this-- without the McCormicks though-- yesterday and it turned out well. It was easy to make and to clean up as well.

Sounds good! I love slow cooker recipes. We use ours quite a bit.

I have made something like this for years. Two or three pounds of beef like eye or top round or chuck roast, not cut up. One large onion quartered, 1 can Campbell's cream of mushroom soup, one cup of red wine, carrots, turnip, celery, one bay leaf, salt and pepper, cover with water and cook for 8 to 12 hours in crock pot. Add some cut up potatoes for the last hour and a half. Makes an outstanding and flavorful meal for about 6 - 8 people. Or for two for 3 days. Almost any long cooking root vegetable can be used. I sometimes use parsnips, squash (add with potatoes), rutabaga's, what ever seems to be available and looks good.
