Default Looking to rehome a sweet puppy!

This is Baylee, she is 5 months old and has all her shots. She was a very expensive dog which we purchased because we missed our previous little girl of 18 years who we lost last year. We failed to realize how active and full of energy a pup can be. Our memories only seem to include a docile older dog who spent her days sleeping and in your lap. She is very loving and is a real sweetheart but we are in our seventies, my health is uncertain and she is too much for us to handle. She loves to run and take walks and play with her toys. She sleeps the night till you take her out in the morning. She does not shed. She is a schnoodle (schnauzer/poodle) and weighs about 10 lbs. we were told she will not get much bigger than that. She will need to be spayed once she is old enough, at least 6 months. She comes with all her “stuff” bed, toys, etc. I love her very much and want her to have a loving forever home. If you have a real interest, please contact me @ (502)-644-1827.

Baylee is adorable. I love her button nose. But anyone considering adopting her should know: a schnoodle will grow to 15-20 pounds - still not heavy, but 20 pounds is still twice the weight of 10 pounds. A healthy schnoodle will live between 10-16 years. I looked up this breed they're more likely to bark than other breeds because both sides (the poodle and the schnauzer) are barkers. The puppies are known to be energetic, and they NEED regular exercise. That means running around every day (at a dog park or in the yard), not just walking half a block down the street and playing fetch in your living room.

To the OP, At age 70, you would've been responsible for that dog until YOU are in your 80's or almost 90, and you say yourself your health is uncertain.
There's no loss quite like that of a beloved pet. Perhaps you would consider adopting a small older dog, one that's maybe already 5-7 years old, already trained, whose history has already shown that he or she has the temperament more suitable to your household and personal abilities.

These are all good points, especially the fact that one's last elder dog was a lot different than one's new puppy.

OP, please PM me if you don't find a good home for this pup. I volunteer with a no-kill shelter, and she would be out the door to a good home in a nano second.

Contact Animal Aid. They have a charity resale boutique over by Lake Sumter Landing where they hold adoption events - many small dogs have found new homes at this location.

We found a wonderful couple who wanted her very badly and she loved them at first sight.
