Default groomer for tiny dogs

I have a 3.5 lb Morkie. I took him to Lady Lake grooming and it was $45 before tip for a cut (no bath). It took about 45 min because he is so small. Does anyone know of a good groomer that has cheaper rates for these tiny dogs? I kind of feel its not fair to pay the same as a lab or retriever.

I'm going to have to learn how to groom my 6 month old Shih Tzu before I move to The Villages!! I'm interested in the responses you get. Right now, she is just too wiggly for me to try it!

I have two 6 year old lhasa apsa dogs that I started home grooming when they were nine months old. I bought the stand that yoou leash the dog to on your table and they learned to let me clip them. It was also easier doing the nails this way. My results are not perfect but I do save money and the dogs do not freak out if I were to leave, them at a commercial salon. It takes time and patience but it is a great bonding experience.

Default Groomer for small dogs

I have a small dog 15 pounds. She is a rescue and will need grooming every 4 weeks. The Villages is offering a pet grooming class which I will be attending in Oct. 2015. They still have plenty of openings for several months. It is a 5 day class, for around $100.00.....Oh and the most important information is we are adopting her. She had heart worms and kidney stones, but is finished with her treatment, well, and a sweetheart. We fell in love with her the minute we saw her, illness and matted hair didn't matter, we just wanted to help her get well.

I bring our Lhasa Baci to Woofgang in Brownwood to Cindy. She is awesome and extremely dedicated and LOVES her clients. I would definitely check them out and their prices.

Who offers the pet grooming class? I'd LOVE to take that!

Do you have any information on the pet grooming class? I need to go down to TV to check on our home and I could plan a trip around the class!

I haven't had a dog for 35 years and could use a refresher course on just having a puppy! Lol!

I've already bought the grooming supplies (razor, scissors, etc) but she is way too wiggly right now. The stand has been on my Amazon Wish List for quite a while but I haven't gotten that yet! Like the idea of that grooming class. Thanks!
