I believe your number for the EZGO RXV Elite with the largest battery size. I’ll never be able to confirm 60 as the range, as I wouldn’t consider going that far in a day and it’s so easy to charge overnight. We went from Marsh Bend to Orange Blossom Hills and back just to do it (31.3-miles) and used slightly less than 50% battery.

I recently looked at the Club Car Onward HP Li-on with 60ah lithium battery and I couldn't believe it when the sales rep. told me that it only got 30 miles on a full charge... who would pay all that money for a cart that can only go 30 miles, especially with all there competitors getting at least double that

REALLY? 30 miles? We have a Tomberlin 48V with 8 6V 'regular' batteries. We get 30 miles, even on 2 year old set. Hard to believe folks would spend that kind of $$$ for minimal miles on lithium.

We've had 2 elec carts since coming to TV in 7 years - a Yamaha and the Tomberlin. Although the quiet, no fumes, no gas stops, etc is very nice - IF we go with another cart - must say IMO it would be very hard to NOT go with a gas one. But without stealing the Thread, I'd have to believe the CO2 pollution et al from small gasoline engines across the USA - carts, lawn equip, etc - is quite high (no pollution controls).

Still getting 70 miles on my lithium Atomic w/10,000 miles on it (about 60 with the A/C running). I'd like to know how you all determine the mileage. I run mine down to where the last light is flashing (warning). Probably could squeeze another 10 or so but that's not good for the batts. Some people see 50% remaining then double it. That doesn't work as it isn't a linear decrease on the gauge or the battery voltage. I get about 55 miles and it says 50% then heads down from there a lot faster.

I have been led to believe that Lithium batteries present an environmental disaster when disposal is necessary. Also big problem if the catch fire. Can anyone who knows what they are talking about comment with accurate info?

BMS or battery management system will allow you to run batteries until they quit via low voltage cutoff for every cell in the pack. They also have over current ,over voltage and thermal protection.

What environmental disaster, specifically? It is just a light alkali metal.
Lithium can form dendrites (Which can lead to battery short circuit) with multiple high-current charge cycles due to only one valance electron. The chargers that come with the cart are very low current...18A or so. The EZGO Elite 4.2 charges at a rate of about 10 miles per hour with the 1000W delta-q charger.

When I bought my Yamaha(2021) was told that range was 35-40 MPG. Have had it one year and do not have an odometer. Doubt I get anything close to 70 MPG and have heard others who claim that get 50 MPG.

Have driven my cart 90 hours(golfing and roads) and do not have an odometer. If my engine hour meter is correct and I averaged 15 miles per hour(cart not modified and top speed is +/- 20 mph) I probably drove it around 1350 miles and no more than 1800 miles. If I get 50 MPG I would have bought no more than 36 gallons and if I got 70 I would bought no more than 25 gallons. I fill it up twice a week and have owned it since 12/1/2020. I have probably gone thru 80 +/- gallons of gas.

As an aside when driving a car I my average MPG is higher than the posted EPA on my car and every car that I have owned except for a 76 Caddy which got 8 MPG.





In car your driving habits can increase/decrease mileage, but in a cart you do not have gears and do not or should have to come to sudden stops. Bet I get 70 MPG on
