Default How to clean the clear plastic on golf cart enclosure

Relative newbie, Bought a golf cart that is a couple of years old. Used the enclosures for rain but now using occasionally on these cool mornings for temperature control. Does anyway have any suggestions/experience on ways to improve the visibility on the clear plastic? Some smudge/cloudy looking areas. Thanks in advance.

Be careful. Try Plexus.

Wash the windows with mild soap and rinse. Dry off with a microfiber cloth. Use PLEX plastic polish. I did that with an eleven year old cart and I was shocked how clear and clean the windows became. The PLEX also fills in and hides small scratches and makes for a beautiful, clear view. I did both sides and polished the PLEX off, again, with a microfiber cloth.

I googled PLEX and came up with several different brands. Can you say the brand name of the product that works well? TIA

I've used Plexus for years. It's definitely one of the best products out there. Unfortunately they have just about priced me out. Fortunately I still have 2 cans left from a case I bought a few years ago.

I have used this for several years with a good deal of success and satisfaction. Whatever you use, please us a clean (preferably washed without fabric softener) microfiber towel in conjunction.
Amazon.com

Another good product is 303 Products Marine Clear Protective Cleaner. Also, although common sense, never leave the panels rolled up for extended periods of time when they are even a little bit wet or you will need to clean them much more frequently. Also, if leaving the cart in the garage for extended periods of time, it is best to leave the panels hanging down.

I don't buy any products. Instead of a microfiber, I use an old clean t-shirt with the sleeves cut off and folded into a sponge-sized rectangle. For the cleanser, I use a half gallon of water in a bucket with 1/4 cup of vinegar and a tablespoon of dish detergent. You can use the same formula to get love-bugs off the windshield of your car.

210 polish. Been using it for almost 30 years, boat and golf cart. The best!

Use Windex at your own peril. It won't be long before you can't see anything through your windshield or plastic curtains.

The amonia will breakdown the plastic and cause cloudiness. "Amonia Free Windex" is less damaging, but still not advised.
