Yes, I have been there and gave them a look. Very good looking carts, all electric, low prices: $8500-$11,000. But the gotcha is only 25 mile range. :/

Been there .Price around 9,000. Range is 25 miles that's with brand new batteries .Very heavy, 1300 lbs. Except for the base model, they are very tall and will not fit through all the tunnels, especially in the north area. They will offer you the option of buying lithium batteries. My husband who was the lead engineer on the first electric car, EV1, made by GM is not buying this golf cart.

I had a very positive experience renting an Icon cart at Bradly's Auto Mall in Wildwood.
I needed a 4-seater to whisk my out-of-town guests around in Villages style. I was delivered a model with dual lithium batteries boasting a 100-mile+ range, Let me tell you, this wasn't your grandma's golf cart. This machine had way more torque than my Yamaha Drive2, even loaded down with four adults. Plus, we cruised all over The Villages for a week and the battery never dipped below 80%. The absence of an optional enclosure wasn't a concern as the weather during our rental period was perfect. I understand Costco's only offers Icons with lead acid batteries after the hoverboard fiasco, but it's a shame they miss out on Icon's best option. Last edited by Willie9075; 12-18-2023 at 03:56 PM. My wife and I looked at the Icon 4 Seater (2 facing rear) at the new Costco in Clermont. There were at least 2 salesmen there, we spoke with Bradley, owner of Bradley's Golf Cars in Wildwood. The 4 seater (E-40) we looked at had 8 AGM Batteries and seem to remember that it had a good range before needing a charge. Bradley seemed to encourage ur to go for the lithium batteries (better range and longer life). We are tempted to go see him at his dealership in Wildwood to take a look at a 4 Seat with all 4 seats facing forward (E-40 FL). I asked Bradley about servicing and he said that he would have the cart picked up and serviced at his dealership. Hoping to find more info (DYDD), hope to see more comments here in the near future. The pricing changes on December 23.

We saw those carts yesterday. One thing that struck me was their height. I would make sure that they can clear the tunnels. Especially the northern tunnels.

As far as your mentioning that The Villages Cart Stores only service what they sell, well they sell at least 400 new carts a month so they have no choice to make sure that can take care of "Their Customers". Smart business! |
