Howdy. TV is a big place. I was curious to know on a normal day, how long it takes to drive your golf cart from 1)Spanish Springs to LSL and 2)LSL to Brownwood? Assuming your carts Max is 20 mph. Thanks.

Spanish Springs to Sumter Landing is roughly 15 minutes, we do that quite often. Sumter Landing to Brownwood. .. I'm only guessing 30 minutes, maybe a little more.

As anywhere, traffic conditions change depending on the day of the week, the time of day and, especially, the time of year. More traffic can mean delays in crossing a main road - such as Morse by 466 - or being stuck behind a slow-moving cart. In general, however, I would concur with the figures already provided. Just remember to add a buffer so you can go slower should circumstances and conditions dictate.

From Duval to LSL is 9 minutes. From LSL to SS is 18 ish. To BW is 24ish. All depends on cart path traffic

I live in Virginia Trace, and it takes us 20 minutes to get to Spanish Springs and 30 to Brownwood, assuming there isn't some cart traffic backup. We love driving to Brownwood at sunset, the views are amazing.

It takes me a while longer. I'm the one everyone is yelling at for driving safely.

I'm usually only concerned with time enroute to the golf courses since I have a teetime, the squares I don't really care, I'll get there when I get there.
From Tamarind Grove, vicinity of Sterling Hgts Rec Center, the travel time to Havana CC is 15 min, Cane Garden is 8 min, Mallory 15 min, Evans Prairie 15 min, Bonifay 15 min, Arnold Palmer 20 min, Belle Glade 20 min, Glenview 35 min and Lopez 50 min. So you see most places are fairly quick if you live in central location. I consider centrally located as halfway from Brownwood to Lake Sumter Landing, which I live 3-1/2 miles to either square. If I go to Spanish Springs I normally drive the car, the golf cart is about 35 min ride. Those not interested in Brownwood or the new golf courses would have a different point of view. |

I have found that using Google maps in 'bicycle mode,' where the trails show up in green...can give someone an idea of maximum travel times.
I don't use it anymore, but if you do use it you can pretty much find out the maximum time and then simply figure +-30% less time if using a cart...and it's pretty accurate. ![]() |

Thru streets (no residential driveway cuts) 30 mph 4 lane roads (like Morse Blvd) 35 mph State roads (like 466) 45 mph You will see signs stating: “20 mph unless otherwise posted”
