Ok my cart started loosing power. First I though in was fuel injector problem? Come to find out the secondary clutch was really dirty with old grease. I guess over the years One pump grease job caused the clutch to kick in too quickly lugging the engine down from being dirty.

I cleaned up clutch with break clean and area. Took cover off front primary clutch and cleaned it up as well. Back to normal.

Even one pump over time creates mess, cause old grease get pushed out and slung around. Now dirt blown from street get stuck and creates mess. I will be greasing those clutches once year and clean up after the old grease get slung around from now on.

I am amazed at why people even consider buying a gas cart. I can only assume they have what is known as "range anxiety" (running out of juice). I have a 22 year old electric Club Car with four 12v 100ah lithium iron phosphate batteries and can easily go from one end of TV to the other and then some. Even with my tiny 8" tires it will go up to 24 mph. No belts, filters, injectors, leaking gas, trips to the gas station, etc. Gas powered anything(s) are going the way of the dinosaurs and good riddance.

And how many times have you replaced batteries in those 22 years?

Well unlike batteries I can just clean the clutch and problem solved. I’ve had electric cart And still have spot on my garage floor where it was parked. To each his own.

Update, the secondary clutch failed, due to items worn out, cleaning help it until snap ring came loose. See my post on secondary clutch for more information.
