Default Candelaria Eatery & Cafe in Oxford (new place)

A buddy and I had an excellent lunch at a new place the other day. We found the Candelaria Eatery & Cafe. It's billed as a Colombian-American fusion restaurant. It's family owned and operated by really nice people. Their hamburgers are freshly ground. Everything is cooked to order. I had the Crunchy Mix (crispy pork belly crackling (chicharron) with Colombian chorizo and crunchy green plantain, served with some guacamole and criollo sauce) and a beer. Jack had a Tropical Bowl (a combination of homemade white rice & red beans, tender stewed shredded beef, sweet plantains, crisp lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream), a mango smoothie and a piece of dulce de leche-chocolate cake. Great stuff. I saw a Cobb Salad that looked great.

Order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Take-out and delivery also. Gluten-free and vegetarian available. Fresh food and juices. Kid's menu.
