Aside from the pool, any ideas about how to entertain three boys ages 12, 11 and 9 and one girl 4 years old.

We are probably returning to TV in August.

Yikes. Only thing left besides golf lessons is Disneyland.

Try Homosassa State Park. It's about a 45 minute ride from TV but worth it. The kids will love the animals. You can go on line for more info and directions. Sorry about the spelling. It's 4:16 AM and I'm a little groggy. Have fun.

Bowling, movies, shuffleboard, ping pong, feeding ducks and fishing, and I believe in July and August TV hosts all kinds of games and fun things for the grandkids to get involved in. Homasossa State park is great for seeing the manatees. Disney, of course! Do they have any hand held games they can bring down for the quiet times? Rent a few movies. Coloring books and crayons for the 4 yr. old. Our granddaughter will be 4 in October and lives an hour away. Maybe I'll get her and the 2 girls could go dancing with us, Shirl!! Golf cart rides are a favorite!! The memories you will make will have them begging to return!!

The Villages theaters should be quite full of movies suitable for the tween set this summer.

Basketball, swimming at the family pools, boccie, pool, etc.

The Villages' rec rooms' billiards seem to have a cut off age for which you can use them. Cannot remember what is is though. 12 maybe?

The four year old would love to wear your shoes, put on your lipstick, dress up and have a tea party.

Little girls still love paper dolls and water colors on the Lanai. Books, Books, books. Read to them, even if they can read. Tell them stories about when you were little.

both squares have wishing wells and tossing their pennies in is a tradition for my 4 and 5 year old grandaughters when they visit. as is dancing a bit on the squares in the early evening. having visited once or twice a yesr their entire lives they have many favorites on their village vacation to do lists. my older teenage grandsons were thrilled once the villages installed outdoor basketball hoops. at mulberry and laurel manor.

Story Time at the Library for the younger grands.

There is "Camp Villages" during the summer months. They have a schedule of all sorts of activities for all ages that you can pick up at the Rec Centers. I am pretty sure they run through August. Everything from pizza/pool parties to etiquette for the older girls.

Take them to the Polo Grounds when the polo guys or model plane fliers aren't there. Set up races from goal to goal or have them kick a soccer ball goal to goal. Bring water. Guarantee they will sleep well. Warning, don't try it yourself. Also a neat place for flying a kite.

Our grandkids loved drive-in nights with classic cars. Spent hours checking them out.

Miniature golf at Tall Trees.

Take them to the white sandy beach and lunch at Gator Joe's on Lake Weir. There's also a quiet sandy beach at Lake Miona.
